We grow flowers in Southern Ontario on two pieces of land. One of the properties is in full cut flower production, the other property is transitioning/being setup for cut flower production. Most of our flower sales are at farmers markets, but are considering subscriptions and other avenues.
We started from nothing over the last few years. In 2020 we bought a house in an urban setting with half an acre and started growing in the backyard.
In 2021 the business was growing rapidly and we purchased acreage to expand the cut flower business upon.
In 2021, we had more sales than we could handle (we were turning down sales, as we didn’t have the capacity). With our expansion onto new land, we expect our cut flower production to be nearly inexhaustible for 2022. Mother nature willing.
- Start your own cut flower business (Sole proprietorship – $60 at time of writing). You can incorporate later if you wish.
- Start your branding (logos, etc) and build your clientele.
- We can supply you with bouquets for you to sell. They sell themselves really.
- Learn about flower farming first hand from us. Get your hands dirty if you want. Learn how do do things in a cost effective manner. We’ve made the cut flower farming mistakes already…let us help you to avoid pitfalls.
We expect you to transition to your own cut flower growing either in your backyard or on some acreage over time. Build your business without risk.
